Tarriff for Supply of Power Tariff
rates for supply of energy to various categories of consumers are fixed
after the approval of the State Government. The rates so fixed currently
are shown in statement form and appended at Annexure 6.1. The present
tariff for real agriculture category is 70 paisa per unit which was increased
in Nov. 1999.
Tariff for Purchase of Power The
Board purchases a practically about 52% of energy from Central Generating
Power Stations and adjoining systems to meet the demand. The names of
such Central Generating Power Stations are:-
- Singrauli, Rihand Super Thermal Power Stations
- Anta, Auraiya & Dadri Gas Thermal Power Stations
- Rajasthan Atomic Power Station
- Narona Atomic Power Station
- Janakpur Hydro Power Station
- URI Hydro Station
- Unchahar Thermal Power Station
- Salal Hydro Power Station
- Chamera Hydro Power Station
- Neeghboing System
The tariff of the following power stations have already been notified
by GOI under clause 43A(2_ of Electricity (Supply) Act 1948. New CERC
has come into effect from 15.5.99 and norms for fixation of tariff is
under consideration with CERC. The revision in tariff of these stations
may be done after finalisation of norms by CERC.
- Singrauli, Rihand, Unchahar Thermal Power Stations
- Anta, Auraiya & Dadri Gas Stations.
- RAPS & NAPS
- Chamera Tanakpur ,URI and Salal Hydro Power Stations.
In last five years 1995-96 to 1998-99 the energy purchased from the
above sources has increased from 8858.43 MU to 12127.45(Prov.) MU 36.90%
while the cost payable has increased from Rs. 885.00 crores to Rs. 1900.00
crores. (Prov). 114.7%
