of the Distribution
Companies of Rajasthan
On Long-Term Basis
Govt.
of Rajasthan in its endeavours to meet the power shortage of the State is
proposing capacity addition. The peak load for the State, as projected by the
CEA, at the end of the XIIth Plan i.e. 2016-17 is 11,404 MW, for
which an installed capacity of 15206 MW is required. After considering the
availability of additional power from Central Sector, State Sector and Private
Sector, Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) has approved the
procurement of power as under:-

pursuant to the order of hon’ble Regulatory Commission, Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran
Nigam Limited (RRVPNL) on the initiative of GoR,
on behalf of Distribution Companies of Rajasthan, namely, Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited,
invites proposals for
(a)
supply upto 1000 MW of power for base load
& (Annexure1) Revised
on 17.04.09
(b)
supply upto 1000 MW of power for seasonal load,
(Annexure2) Revised
on 17.04.09
at the delivery point(s)
in the state of Rajasthan with minimum bid capacity of 100 MW, on long- term basis (25 years) through
competitive bidding under Case-1 of Tariff based bidding Guidelines issued by
Ministry of Power, Government of India.

(RFP) notification and RFP documents, which will be available for supply of
above load on RRVPNL website www.rajenergy.com
& www.rvpn.co.in w.e.f. February 25, 2009. The RFP documents can be purchased upto March 30, 2009. The last date of submission of RFP is June
01, 2009.
